Lake Tillery is a 5,260-acre lake nestled between Montgomery and Stanly Counties in NC.  Lake Tillery is owned and controlled by Duke Energy and has 117.8 miles of beautiful shoreline with a maximum depth of 70’.  It is approximately 16 miles long with some gorgeous coves off the main body of the lake.  The North end has amazing views with Morrow Mountain State Park on the Stanly County side, and Uwharrie National Forest on the Montgomery County side.  Lake Tillery is a recreational lake, used by many for boating, swimming, and fishing.  There are 4 public boat landings on Lake Tillery; see our Discover Tillery (Lake Access) tab for a map and detailed description.
